Take “Junkyard Wars” and a pinewood derby, mix’em together, and you get the Junkyard Derby! Kids will have two hours to build a junk car out of random junk supplied weighing no more than 8 oz. The challenge will be to build a junkyard car that rolls the furthest down a ramp and along a straight-away. The three cars that roll the farthest will win engineering prizes!
